Anna is passionate about carving Celtic knots into sandstone using traditional techniques, and stone carving tools as taught to her by an Italian  master carver and mason. The interconnected lines weave a pattern of infinity, eternity and unity that creates a meditative effect while carving.

During the February two day workshop you will learn the art of stone carving transferring a Celtic design onto stone. You will gain experience utilising a range of chisels to create depth and dimension. This unique method of carving is ideal for those interested in  exploring the art of carving while simultaneously stilling the mind to relax as the lines weave an interrelated pattern of peace.

The two day March Workshop will focus on Sculpting in Hebel, you will learn the art of sculpting in Hebel a soft medium that you can work with files and rasps, drills and tools you might have at home. You will walk away with a sculpture you can display indoors or outdoors.

Please select  the February Stone Carving or March Hebel workshop option  or indicate if you want to do both workshops please

Anna is an experienced teacher, carver and sculptor and believes that everyone can be an artist if provided with the appropriate  techniques and tools to surrender to the creative flow. She is committed to allow students to achieve a love of art and a trust in their own ability to create from their own unique perspective. Anna has exhibited extensively and has been a member of the Australia Sculptors Society for many years.

My deep passion is exploring the expression of beauty in form and line through carving Celtic knots in stone and exploring symbolic and sacred art.

I agree with Brancusi: "Working on the stone, in the stone, I came upon spirit hidden in matter, the forbidden measure of its fathomless being".

Sculpting in any art medium is the art of surrendering to the creative flow and applying techniques to ensure skills and techniques can transform and create that which is perceived, imagined and felt.
