Workshop Testimonials

Testimonial by Photography teacher

Rachael and Anna had faith in their judgement when they asked me to conduct a two day workshop on photography. As someone who has never taught before it was a daunting prospect. When I came up with the concept of what I was trying to achieve  they were both very supportive.

The venue is a wonderful place for photography and having other workshops happening at the same time added to the potential subject matter. As well as the cross pollination of ideas and experiences for the other students and teachers.

Hi Anna. Thanks for the pictures. It is good to see so many smiles, which say a lot about the success of the weekend. I certainly had an enjoyable time and am expecting to come to your May event. I have racked my brain trying to find some criticism of the recent weekend but to no avail. The organisation, the food, and the teacher (in my case Sally) could not have been better. Thanks to you and Rachael for all you did and achieved.

Kind regards, Russell

My testimonial: "I loved every minute of my Willowtree Sculpture Garden weekend workshop. Anna and Rachael created an ideal atmosphere with great instructors, wonderful location, delicious meals and a real community spirit. It was fabulous fun and I am looking forward to signing up for another workshop in the future."

I just wanted to say thank you for the great stone carving course last weekend.

I learnt a huge amount about carving stone and the techniques involved. But  most importantly I Had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Anna is an excellent and patient teacher, who not only explains what you are doing, but why you are doing it. I also enjoyed her stories about her carving experiences around the world.

The whole weekend was thoroughly enjoyable, I had a lot of fun and met some lovely people.

If Anna is running another course, please let me know, I would be very interested.

Also thank you Rachael for the lovely food and hospitality.

Set in the heart of the beautiful Southern Tablelands at Laggan is an exquisite sculpture garden that offers not just a place to view magnificent art, but a place to come and learn and get in touch with your deeper creative self. I had never carved stone before. In fact, I'd never even taken much of an interest in stone carving before, but by the end of the weekend I had a carving i was proud of. Anna is an incredibly skilled and patient teacher who is not only willing to share her skills, but is oozing passion to do so.

The weekend also provided an opportunity to meet other artists and to engage in community over a home cooked meal from food that was mostly grown onsite. I could not recommend the artisan weekend strongly enough. Even if you do not fancy yourself as an artist, I urge you to drop by and view the art and meet the hosts. You'll be surprised just how inspired you will become by simply walking through the gardens.
